70's, rideshare is back as a social and practical way to reduce travel costs
when travelling by car.

Many people Rideshare to save travel costs. This usually includes fuel costs
and paid parking.
If you want to share fuel costs, here is a guide to how much petrol vehicles
use, according to their size. The actual costs will vary according to fuel
price and how well you drive.
- In a small car (e.g., Holden Barina, Mazda 121, Honda Civic) you can
expect to use 7 to 8 litres of petrol per 100 km driving in the city.
- In a medium size car (e.g., Honda Accord, Ford Telstar, Mitsubishi
Galant, Toyota Camry) you can expect to use 9 to 11 litres of petrol per
100 km driving in the city.
- Larger cars (e.g., Holden Commodore, Ford Falcon) typically use 10 to
14 litres of petrol per 100 km driving in the city - petrol 4WD commonly
use 13 to 15 litres per 100km in the city.
